Once in a generation (if you are lucky) something transforming happens in your community, a change and development that benefits everyone, that is long lasting, that has positive impacts felt and known far and wide.

The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) has achieved growth and garnered that recognition with the opening of its Western Campus on the gorgeous rolling hills adjacent to Western Piedmont Community College and the NC School for the Deaf.

The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics is a world-class public high school with statewide reach offering students the skills and knowledge to design their own future. Specializing in science, technology, engineering, and math, we challenge talented high school juniors and seniors from across North Carolina through a residential program on our historic campus in Durham — and beginning in 2022, on our second campus being built in Morganton.

VanNoppen Marketing is very proud to collaboratively partner with NCSSM in a variety of marketing projects that help bring this educational program, the first of its kind anywhere in the world with two physical locations, to its Grand Opening held on June 10, 2022.

“This is a game changer for this community,” said NC Lt. Gov. Dan Forest at a recent NCSSM event. “It’s a game changer for this part of the state, and it’s a game changer for our students as well.”

“It’s going to say to people from well outside North Carolina that this is a place to come for innovation, for invention, to invest, to find employees, and we’re going to train students for this area that will have the skills that are needed for those high-tech jobs,” added NC Rep. Hugh Blackwell (R-Burke).
