Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Website Wins Best-of Award

When Alex Garcia from Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp & Resort in Marion NC approached VanNoppen Marketing about renovating its Internet presence, our question was: What will be your definition of success?

Alex’s reply: To win the Best Website of the Year award among the approximately 80 Jellystone parks and campground franchises across the country.

Our approach, strategy and results

Design a very compelling, engaging and entertaining Website that powerfully presents the Jellystone Camp & Resort and its entire inventory of amenities. Big pictures. Family fun. Something for everybody.

The Website’s engineering – using VanNoppen Marketing’s Upstairs Website Development package - provided extraordinary Content Management tools, Search Engine Optimization and integration with Social Media and customer reservation systems

The graphics – stunning photography, custom maps, logos and icons – was approved by Hanna-Barbera’s graphic and content standards team to insure compliance with corporate requirements.

  • During summer operations they receive over 1500 unique users a day.
  • Since we went live with the new website they have over a 2500% increase in visitors.
  • One of the first websites we tested full screen sliders with, the client can actively update the slides themselves and can link them to internal pages for events and sales.
  • One of the great successes of the site is that Alex actively updates the website weekly, sometimes daily.
  • Reservations tab at the top middle of all pages has increase reservations due to it being on every page and easy to see plus get to.
  • Easy to get to rates page with clear pricing structure for all camping grounds, cabins and RV sites.
  • Clean park map that is available for download and print.
  • Non-stop park activities with an online calendar and events page so people can reserve days during events they like.
  • Usage of Pinry to showcase events and visitor photos.
  • Active social networks.

Alex’s Award-winning Website was a true team effort. As we told Alex during initial conversations, our work is collaborative.
