Nicole Moore Joins Burke Primary Care’s Occupational Health Division

Morganton, NC – Family Nurse Practitioner Nicole Moore recently joined Burke Primary Care to bring primary care services into local industries.

A graduate of Duke University’s Masters of Science in Nursing program with extensive clinical experience, Moore will be providing high-quality, cost-effective and patient-centered care directly into the workplace of participating employers.

After earning a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from University of Mississippi (Cum Laude), Moore was a neurology nurse at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, a nurse and care coordinator with Blue Cross / Blue Shield and served with distinction in the US Army where she was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and a Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon & Honors Graduate.

Moore’s clinical experience includes SAS Institute Health Care in Cary, NC, the Durham Women’s Clinic, the Durham Pediatric Clinic and the Wayne Family Medical Center in Goldsboro, NC.

Nicole Moore’s first assignments will be to launch the on-site health center with Valdese-based furniture manufacturer, Kellex Seating. Services covered include primary care services such as urgent care services, preventative care visits and programs for a healthy workforce.

Burke Primary Care’s Occupational Health Division is focused on fostering safe and healthy work environments for employers, co-workers, customers and others whose health might be affected the workplace environment.

In addition, Burke Occupational Health provides evidence-based health care with an approach to workers' compensation that relies on prompt treatment, rapid return-to-work, modified duty programs and aggressive case management. The practice can reduce lost time and medical costs while ensuring high-quality medical care.
